The wooden jetty juts out into the sea like an outstretched arm. It draws the eye to the small boats suspended above the water. They appear fragile and serene against this completely still expanse of water.
In the background, the catamarans rest on a glassy sea. The atmosphere of this photograph is filled with tranquillity and serenity.
But this atmosphere seems illusory when one looks up at the sky. A cloud approaching from the right seems to foreshadow a chaotic future. It moves very slowly and appears capable of shattering this apparent peace at any moment without warning.
