Mackay, QLD

During my trip to Australia, I spent several months in Mackay, a mining town located in the northeast of the country. At first glance, it seemed unremarkable, almost anonymous. But over time, I discovered hidden places, both sensitive and wild. These moments allowed me to tame the town’s subtle beauty, a striking contrast to the harshness of its industrial past.

Through this series, I highlight the softness and wild side of Mackay, revealing another facet of its identity — this hidden beauty, often invisible to the eyes of hurried travelers, but once discovered, it touches you deeply.
